Summer Event

Summer is heating up, and that means it's time for the return of Tides of War! This year’s event is packed with all-new rewards, including Chroma Materials, Absolute Aquaman Styles, Feats, and Base Items, plus the all-new Iconic Ability: Atlan Brine Hulk! Collect Sand Dollars and exchange them for seasonal items at the Atlantean Quartermaster in the House of Legends. The event is open to players level 20 and above and runs from July 1 through July 28. Dive in and make some waves this summer!

New Iconic Ability: Atlan Brine Hulk

Command the fury of the deep with the all-new Iconic Ability: Atlan Brine Hulk! This Supercharge ability lets you summon a monstrous Brine Hulk that erupts from the ocean floor, dealing heavy damage in a wide blast radius. This hulking beast will assault nearby enemies with brutal claw strikes and devastating water spray attacks for 20 seconds. With its wide reach and sustained pressure, this ability is perfect for turning the tide in your favor during large-scale battles.

Summer Seasonal | Tides of War

The tides rise once more in Tides of War 2025; the battle for Atlantis is far from over!

Ocean Master has returned with renewed ambition and an army of mutineer Atlanteans, determined to overthrow King Arthur and seize the throne. Their conflict has once again spilled into the waters off Metropolis, and it’s up to you to take a stand.

Collect Sand Dollars and visit the Atlantean Quartermaster or Mutineer Quartermaster in the House of Legends to trade them for this year’s newest Summer rewards, including Chroma Materials, Absolute Aquaman Power Styles, Base Items, Feats, and more!

Track Tides of War in your Mission Journal, queue up for the Atlantean Outpost Alert through the Summer Seasonal section in the On Duty Quickplay menu, or use the Warp Menu to dive straight in!

Note: Open world location is named differently depending on your faction. Heroes will see Tides of War: Aquaman, while Villains will see Tides of War: Ocean Master

Pet Collision Update

The new Pet Collision Update removes physical collisions between you and your own pets, allies, and base-pets, so they’ll no longer block or interfere with your movement during gameplay. This update prevents pets from blocking your path, reduces frustrating pathing issues, improves combat fluidity, and movement in tight spaces.

Broker Revamp

We’ve revamped the Broker to improve your buying and selling experience! Here’s what’s new:

• Broker Fee Timing: Fees are now charged only when your item sells—not when you list it.
• Longer Listings: Listing duration has been extended from 2 days to 14 days.
• Clearer Time Displays: Time remaining now shows in days, hours, and minutes, with listing duration accurately reflected in the UI.
• Price Input Enhancements: Maximum sale price increased to 999 billion, and prices now display commas for easier reading.
• Smarter Sorting: Listings now default to sorting by lowest price first, helping you find the best deals faster.

These updates make trading on the Broker smoother, clearer, and more user-friendly for everyone!

Xbox and PlayStation: At this time, players cannot change listing prices on the Broker due to a missing on-screen keyboard, and we are actively working on a resolution.

Nintendo Switch Only:

Switch users will be unable to select items in the Marketplace Cash or Time Capsules categories on the in-game Marketplace unless they first use the following workaround. When accessing these categories, there will be no visible selector highlighting items in the right-side pane where Marketplace bundles are listed. 

To view the Marketplace Cash or Time Capsules categories in-game:

1. First, select the Currency tab (or any tab listed below it).
2. Then choose your desired category.

Note: If you select the Featured or Bundles tabs, you’ll need to repeat this process to access Marketplace Cash or Time Capsules again.

Marketplace Cash can still be purchased through the Nintendo eShop:

1. Highlight DC Universe Online on your Home menu.
2. Press the + button and select Nintendo eShop.
3. Scroll down and choose DC Universe Online Marketplace Cash.
